Embroidery of life

Embroidery of life
First part of life you see embroidery
The fancy part of it with all the pretty colors
The second part you see the other side
The threads snagging , jumbled into confused pile
I don't remember which philosopher put a sound to those words
Knowing he was a wise man, giving sense to my confused mind
I did embroidery on virgin linen of my life
Imagining the dreamy stories, using finest silk
Arranging personages, friends, lovers, parents
Each had a space and place on previously white canvas
Who faded, left or died, who betrayed or who stayed true
Time put the periods and commas in the grand finale
Turning the other face to me right now
The tangled mess of twisted fibers
The complicated saga weighted by strange stories
Did not imagine those cords so uncombined
Would combine , in fact, take possession of
Oh yes at last things coming to some conclusion

Ivory, silky hat

Ivory, silky hat
Ivory silky carcass of old hat
Piece of voile hanging over edges
The dinosaur of past in modern world
Appeared out of nowhere from the life
Practically erased from book of retrospection
Who was i when entered the fancy Viennese shop
Measured by saleslady' rigid face, cold steely eyes
Produced look of critical contempt , you are not welcome here
Poorly dressed, just stepped from the planet of nothing
To the planet of cornucopia, no shortages of any kind
Lowly immigrant with big aspirations in the heart
I bravely stared back, giving her no less ridicule
Retorting words as bullets .. give me that hat behind the glass
Trying, admiring , imagining myself on fancy party
She snorted ..there should be special dress for it
Is not your worry madam , the sentence hit the aim
I'll do it soon enough, the hat is starting point
Throwing the money on the counter as if it were
The pearls before the swine.. i exited
Leaving the racist woman in full stupor

Blindness of the heart

Blindness of the heart
The blindness anchored herself in heart
Preventing to distinguish goodness
Your voice still echoing in the ears
You do not look like the pics posted
The feel of disgust lingering inside
What kinda a man would tell this to a woman
I am the same, the pics or not , the essence
The shameless tongue spitted hurtful words
Sense of superiority pervading from few males
One say ..you got one minute to start chatting..or else
Another ordering the dish for you without asking
Third think he is minimum Apollo in disguise
Forth saying you are ugly... wow
How much trash should swim my way
Before someone would see through layers of the skin
Actually travel miles just to reach me-
I pity men whose heart is covered in shroud of purblindness
Allowing not to see , discover pearl in the shell

Me,myself and I

Me,myself and I
Me, myself and I
Infection spreading through the minds of people
The selfishness engulfing even nicest ones
Nobody cares of problems, have their own solve it
The banner of indifference coached by the wind
We becoming callous, unfeeling creatures
Caring only for our daily schedule of things
Anything behind the borders blocked, silenced forever
Forgetting the intentions could accidentally or not hurt
The lame excuses emanating strong fish odor
How to fix this awful impasse
Back to the kindness, trust , the neighbor helping neighbor
Keys under mat, not be afraid someone will rob the house
Holiday gatherings of families and friends , sharing the food with stranger
The children not inviting elder parents for celebrations
Next door folks not checking on the woman, living by herself
So called family not returning phone calls, afraid to be asked
For money or the other kinda of help
Putting on headphones, listening to proverbial tune
Me, myself and I

Snow falling on old city

Snow falling on old city
The clouds traversing wide highway of the sky
Dumping the snowballs on roofs of the old city
The winter hanging icy undergarments on the eves
Transforming landscape into fairies playground
The windows of the aged houses embroidered
Imaginative hand put intricate designs with help of cold
Wind smoothed , adding geometric shaping
The mother nature adept in the laws of the math
The snow accumulating to delight of younger ones
Jumping on street in pure jubilation, the mittens flying
Sleigh drawing images on virgin white
The snowman .. what a great pretender
Used to enjoy , diving in snow in the complete abandon
Skiing tirelessly through forest silent beauty,
The flurries tumbling down on old city season after season
Without my participation, I am adult now
Maybe it's wrong but piece of childhood, part of me is missing
Should join the children next time around snow plunge on us
And play the silliest of games.. life is too short

Goethe dreaming

Goethe dreaming
The statue on the square
Dreamily pondered about the life's essence
The time it had, nowhere to rush in
Patina blanketed bronze shoulders in the greenish
Giving the dignified look of aging gentleman
Absorbed it sophistication, refinement of the culture
Encrusted deeply in the metal frame
He hid the smile under antique coating
Feigning indifference to the spectacle before the eyes
Presiding over in impassive pose
Sitting on the chair imprinted with epoch's dust
The silent keeper of the knowledge,Goethe
Unshaken by the changes meteoric domino effect
Experience would whisper in alloyed ears
Be quiet, absorbing template of the core
Keeping the wisdom you admired for
Let them interpret your expression
Dream on old man ..dream on
